The American oil company plans to start this February its exploratory campaign in the Sergipe-Alagoas field. Seadrill’s drillship, West Saturn, which was chartered by the company to conduct the drilling campaign is already on her way to Aracaju. The same drillship was previously deployed in two other fields operated by ExxonMobil in Brazil, namely Titan and Opal.
The supply vessels HOS Brass Ring, Starnav Perseus and Normand Swift are currently going through trials and drills for IBAMA (Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources) before heading to the Northeast region of Brazil.
Following completion of the Sergipe campaign for ExxonMobil, the drillship West Saturn shall probably head to Bacalhau field where she will be engaged on a drilling campaign for Equinor.
